Die versteiften hinteren Lagerbuchsen der unteren B-Träger bieten eine achtprozentige Verbesserung bei seitlichen Belastungen, was zu besseren Vorspureigenschaften beim Kurvenfahren beiträgt. Vorne sorgen überarbeitete elastische Lagerbuchsen und neue reibungsarme Kugelgelenke für exakteres Lenkverhalten und damit mehr Kontrolle. Die überarbeitete Bremsanlage liefert mit schwimmend gelagerten Bremsscheiben sowie neuen Bremsbelägen eine höhere Bremsleistung. Durch die verbesserte thermale Effizienz wird Fading weiter reduziert, was insbesondere bei intensiven Rennstreckeneinsätzen eine optimale Performance gewährleistet. Das um rund 15 mm reduzierte Pedalspiel sorgt für ein direkteres Ansprechverhalten. Darüber hinaus verringert die neue Bremsanlage vorn die ungefederte Masse um ca. 2,5 kg, was ebenfalls zu den verbessertem Handling-Eigenschaften beiträgt. Im Innenraum lassen sich wie in allen Civic Modellen das Infotainmentsystem und die Klimasteuerung mit physischen Tasten und Reglern jetzt noch einfacher bedienen. Der neue Alcantara®-Bezug des Lenkrads steigert die Griffigkeit, während ein neuer Schaltknauf in Tropfenform an frühere Type R Modelle erinnert und mit Hilfe eines inneren 90-Gramm-Gegengewichts Schaltgefühl und -genauigkeit verbessert.
